School Spirit Night
Martin Street is inviting all families to attend our first annual spirit night on May 2nd from 6:30-8:00pm. Come and check out what clubs and/or teams your child is a part of, as well as some services that are available to your child as a Martin Street student. Our band and choir will be performing and the night will end with a staff/student dodgeball game. You won't want to miss this!
Also, families of Grade 5 students are invited to attend an information session on next year's Camp Muskoka trip that same night on May 2nd from 6:00-6:30pm.

Book Fair
The book fair will be open for book sales in the library on Thursday April 18th, Tuesday April 23rd and Thursday April 25th! Students will have a chance to browse and create a wish-list when their classes visit. Thank you to Ms. Peachey for all her hard work setting this up!

Congratulations to both the Chess Team and the Skills Competition Team for participating in their respective competitions. Thank you to Mrs. Monk, Mr. Demeter and Ms. Watson for all their support!

Outdoor Learning Space
Martin Street is getting an outdoor classroom! Big thanks to our Parent Council for funding this initiative. This outdoor classroom will facilitate both learning and play. This project is set to be completed by the end of May! If your child is on the Eco Team, they should be able to tell you all about this.

EQAO testing will be happening for Grade 3 and 6 students this May 2019. The Grade 3s will write on May 22, 23 and 24. The Grade 6s will write on May 27, 28 and 29. We are seeking volunteers to scribe for students. If you are available and have your police check, please let the office know!
