Staffing Update
We are excited to welcome back Ms. Groot-Nibbelink from maternity leave. She will be teaching Core French once again this year. Thank you and best wishes to Mlle. Becker for filling in so admirably this September and October. We wish her the best in her teaching career!

Pumpkin Patch
The Pumpkin Patch has been a great tradition here at Martin Street. Students and their families are invited to bring decorated/carved pumpkins in to the school gym between 8:00 and 9:00 am on Thursday, October 31st. Throughout the day students will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite pumpkin in a variety of categories... the funniest, biggest, coolest, etc. At 1:55 students will participate in our annual costume parade which will end in the gym. The winners of the Pumpkin Patch Contest will be awarded and we will head back to our classrooms for the balance of the day.

Perseverance Assembly
Next Thursday, October 31 our grade 2 students will be hosting our first Character Assembly of the year. This month our theme was Perseverance. For November our theme will be Responsibility.
