Fall Fair
Thank you to our School Council, student volunteers, and staff volunteers for a very successful Fall Fair this past Saturday. A good time was had by all, and a significant amount of money was raised for various school projects! Stay tuned for our next family event!

Terry Fox Run
This year our annual Terry Fox Run will take place on Thursday, September 26 during periods 5 and 6 (1:55 - 2:55 P.M.)

Meet the Teacher Night
Meet the teacher night will be this Thursday from 6:30-7:30 P.M.

Spirit Wear
Any families wishing to purchase Martin Street spirit wear can access the website here:
This site will open from September 23 until October 4.

Cross Walks on Martin Street
We have a few crosswalks on Martin Street that do not have a crossing guard. We are asking parents to please counsel your children on the safe way to approach a crosswalk, and ensure they are doing everything they can to maximize their safety and the safety of others. Despite the presence of traffic signals, it is still important for pedestrians to make sure all vehicles have yielded before stepping into the crosswalk and crossing the roadway. Please remind your children to always be attentive and to remove earphones, turn off music, and stop texting or talking on the phone. Make your intention to cross the road known by extending your arm, make eye contact with drivers, and never assuming a driver sees you.

Good Luck to Our MSPS Sports Teams!
This week our senior girls volleyball team will see their first game action of the year. Next Tuesday several students in grades 3-8 will be representing Martin Street at HDSB's annual cross country running meet in Burlington. Thank you to all our students who participate and are active in Martin Street activities, and thank you to our staff for providing these wonderful opportunities.
